83rd Memorial Service of the Bethnal Green Tube Shelter Disaster

Senior officers and Bethnal Green SNT officers attended the 83rd Memorial Service of the Bethnal Green Tube Shelter Disaster, which happened on 3rd March 1943, where 173 women, men and children died. This was the worst civilian disaster of the Second World War that occurred in Bethnal Green at what is now Bethnal Green Underground Station (but at the time was uncompleted), and was being used as an Air Raid Shelter. We will remember them.
